David, a 29-year-old software engineer from Glasgow, recently opened up about his battle with low testosterone, shedding light on how the condition silently took over his life.

What started as unexplained fatigue and mental fog eventually led him to seek treatment with Numan, and now he's sharing his story in the hope of helping others who are going through the same struggle.

The onset of symptoms

For David, the symptoms crept in slowly but steadily. "The primary symptom I was experiencing was mostly being tired," he recalls, emphasising how this exhaustion affected every aspect of his day. "It had manifested itself in different ways, like not being as sharp as I was and unable to do things I could previously do."

Mental fog and daily challenges

The mental fog was one of the most challenging aspects for David. Even simple tasks became overwhelming. "I’d always have mental fog as part of it," he explained. Social activities, once a source of joy, became a burden as he was too exhausted to engage with friends or even complete basic chores. "I couldn't go out because I was just so tired."

Seeking answers

Realising that something wasn't right, David began researching his symptoms, which led him to the possibility of testosterone deficiency. Determined to find answers, he decided to get tested with Numan. "The venous blood test was very easy," he said. "A nurse came to my flat after scheduling it with me. It only took about five or ten minutes to do."

The relief of diagnosis

A week later, the results confirmed what he suspected - his testosterone levels were low. "There was a sense of relief when I got the result," David shared. "Then I could start addressing this issue, rather than having to live with it."

Beginning treatment

Speaking with a Numan doctor was the next step, and David found the experience reassuring and informative. "The doctor was very clear and made sure I understood everything that was given to me," he explained. "Obviously, when you're starting something new, it's a lot of information to take in."

A life-changing transformation

David's transformation was significant after starting treatment. His testosterone levels increased from 4.5 nmol/L to around 13 nmol/L in 4-5 months, and the impact on his life was profound. "I feel 1000 times better than I did previously," he said. "I feel like I'm becoming a person again, able to do things I couldn't do before, and overall I'm happier than I was."

The numan take

David’s message to others who are dealing with similar symptoms is clear: don’t wait to get help. His journey from fatigue and frustration to feeling like himself again is a powerful reminder that your journey could start with a simple blood test.
