Losing weight can often feel like an uphill battle, especially for women navigating challenges such as menopause and PCOS. Yet Philippa, Sam, Oluchi, and Jessica’s stories show that while everybody’s health journey is different, progress is always possible.
Let’s take a closer look at their experiences.
Philippa faced menopausal weight gain during the lockdown. "When I started, I could barely walk," she reflects. After exploring various diet apps without success, Philippa turned to Numan’s Weight Loss Programme.
With an understanding of hormonal changes and steadfast support, she lost 35 kg over 14 months. "Losing weight has transformed my life," Philippa shares. "I'm not under the illusion that I was fat and happy - I definitely wasn’t happy."
Sam struggled with her weight due to PCOS. Traditional diets failed her, leaving her feeling fed up and disappointed. Encouraged by a friend and driven by the desire to be a healthy role model for her son, Sam joined Numan's Weight Loss Programme.
Initially sceptical, Sam found success through a combined approach of medication and lifestyle changes. Over several months, with support from health coaches, she lost 16kg. "Breaking my sugar addiction was mentally freeing," Sam says. "I feel more confident now, [and] able to set a positive example for my son."
Oluchi faced weight challenges while balancing motherhood and work. "After trying teas and diets, nothing lasted," she says. Turning to Numan’s Weight Loss Programme made a difference.
With support from her coach, Millie, she embraced sustainable habits. "Numan is different because I don’t feel like I’ll gain the weight back," Oluchi shares. "Losing weight has meant my mood has improved and my confidence is super."
Jessica faced challenges with PCOS and a long-standing injury to her Achilles. "The weight crept back after my injury," she notes. Turning to Numan's Weight Loss Programme offered a fresh start.
With support from her coach, Amy, Jessica regained mobility and confidence. "Numan offered guidance and support," she shares, "I’m feeling so much more positive. I’ve gained the confidence to go back to the gym, and I’m training three times a week now, which is a huge improvement."
